Glock 43x Frame With Rail - "Just when I thought I was gone, they pulled me back..." One of the most brutal quotes in Hollywood history can be applied here tonight. Two weeks ago, TFB broke the news that the GLOCK Slimline pistol, which previously featured only two-tone silver slides, would be available in an all-black version. Now GLOCK EU is promoting the same new Slimlines products with thin mounting rails. Apparently billed as the G43X rail and G48 rail, the new pistol looks identical to the American offering aside from a light or laser mount.
No official reviews from Austria or Smyrna, but since the latest Slimline GLOCK pistol hit store shelves today, I'm guessing the rail version won't be making its US debut for a long time, if ever.

Glock's Glock G43X and Glock G48 9mm slim pistols are now available in all black with rail body

The Austrian company introduced the Glock G43X and G48 "Slimline" semi-automatic pistols earlier this year; they are chambered in 9mm Luger and offered in a single-column 10-round capacity combined with an ultra-slim profile. In a very tight market where they are considered a primary or backup concealed carry and self defense option, the Glock name is usually a guarantee of success. Both models feature key features such as longer frames for a more balanced grip and nPVD coated sliders with precision milled front serrations.
Now with the introduction of the "Slimline Rail" series, rail frames are available for the Glock G43X and G48 pistols. Although short, the Glock-style accessory rail on the new Glock 43X and Glock 48 pistols allows the installation of small laser sights or tactical lights for quick target finding and safer use even in the dark. Unlike the standard G43X and G48 satin coated rails, the new rail models also return to more classic black nPVD coated rails.
The Glock 43X has the same frame size as the Glock 48, but the Glock 43's slide length offers greater magazine capacity and a balanced grip, as well as excellent coverage and improved carry comfort.
The new G43X Slim Rail has an overall length of 165 mm/6.5 inches with an 87 mm/3.41 inch barrel. The Glock 43X Rail pistol is chambered in the popular 9mm Luger caliber and weighs just 654g/23.07oz with a loaded magazine.
Glock 43x/48 Optic Ready Slimline Models With Rail
The Glock 48 offers the same body length as the Glock 43X and is only 1mm thicker, but with the improved overall length and sleeve length performance of the Glock 19.
The new G48 Slimline has an overall rail length of 185mm/7.28in and a 106mm/4.17in long barrel. The Glock 48 Rail pistol weighs a maximum of 712 grams (25.12 oz) with a gross magazine.
