glock 43x gen 5 price

Glock 43x Gen 5 Price - The Glock 43 was a major change to the Glock product line when it was released. Featuring a single-stack magazine instead of Glock's usual dual arrangement, the 43 is intended to be easier to conceal than previous Glock subcompacts, such as the Glock 26. The full-size model is designed to hold the same magazine as the larger Glock models.

But switching to a single stack meant that Glock had to make an entirely new frame and slide, which was a huge investment for a single rifle. With the Glock 43X, Glock appears to be building an entire family of single stack pistols based on the Glock 43.

Like other Glock "Crossover" models (marked by an X), the Glock 43X has a longer grip than the length of the slide. This was first tested with the Glock 19X, which paired the full Glock 17 grip with the shorter Glock 19 frame and dust cover. Since there was no "full size" single stack Glock when the 43X was produced, the Glock 43X simply featured a longer grip intended to accommodate a full hand grip, as opposed to the original Glock 43 which had a short grip that required an extension for the pinky magazine.

Interestingly, the 43X in its initial release only included a PVD-coated stainless steel slide, upholding Glock's tradition of using a black Tenifer or nDLC coating on their slides. Glock's decision to do so is uncertain, however, as the 43X is already atypical of their line of crossovers, so the stainless slide may be another aspect intended to make it more unique. However, all black 43X models were released in July, so the early release of the stainless 43X slide may have been a marketing move.

In terms of shooting, the 43X is just another Glock. Released in 2019, it is the fifth generation Glock and thus benefits from the improved trigger and firing barrel features of the fifth generation. Most reviewers seem to appreciate the improved shooting capability afforded by the longer cross-grip, along with the increased ten-round capacity in the mag.

However, the Glock 43X may face stiff competition in the subcompact market from other recently released subcompact systems. Sig Sauer, Inc. It has a P365 line with a capacity of thirteen rounds. The Hellcat from Springfield Armory also competes in the compact market and has standard optics on all guns. The P365 has an optical cutout as an optional upgrade on the P365XL.

Glock has its own optics-ready model with the MOS system, but the only MOS Glocks are double-stack models with MOS optics designed for wide slides only. Although some third-party manufacturers have offered to mill Glock 43 chips for optics, Glock has yet to cut factory optics for the Glock 43 or any of its derivatives, which could affect its competitiveness against competing models.

Glock 17 Gen 4 Vs Gen 5

However, with its extended grip, proven Glock trigger action, and slim profile, the Glock 43X remains one of the best options for those looking for a concealed carry pistol on the market today. Glocks are some of the most popular handguns in the world for a reason: They just work.
